Easter

This is how our Easter started out. A morning of church for David and Boston.

Boston with his Easter basket. All he cared about was the eggs and candy.

Carson didn't care at all.

Easter egg hunt. Boston wasn't sure what to do at first but he got the hang of it.

Then that night we ended up in the ER with Carson. Long story short he had had a cough for a couple days (started when he was exactly 1 week old) and they thought it was just a virus but 3 days later it turned into much worse. Easter night he was breathing heavy and coughing a lot more. So after two calls to his amazing Dr we decided to go to primary children's where they found out he had RSV which was weird because they said it was the end of RSV. Anyways this is him in the short stay area in the hospital because they thought it was on the down slop of it. A day later he was put in the PICU for a day. After a day of what they call high flow oxygen, a feeding tube, an Iv and lots of monitoring he was released to the long stay recovery.
However he got a fever so they had to do a spinal tap (was not fun to watch) blood samples and a urine test. They ruled out other infections.

We were at the hospital for 5 days with something they thought would be gone in hopefully a day. Carson came home on a small amount of oxygen and I believe he was on it for about two weeks after we got home. He is now doing well but it was a long road for him and I worry about him often but I count my blessings it was just RSV and not something worse and he was able to fight it. What a strong little boy.

Bostons First Birthday

Okay I know this is way late but on January 23rd Boston turned 1yrs old. It was such a fun day for him and us. He didn't really know what was going on but what ever it was it was fun. His Birthday was on a Sunday this year so we went to church like nornmal but after had Grandparents over for dinner and the rest of the family for cake and ice cream. As you can see he enjoyed opening gifts and he really enjoyed his cake. He couldn't wait to get his hands in it. (Im glad I did white icing.)
Thank you everyone for all the fun we had that day.

Santa Claus

This was taken at our Ward Christmas party. He did pretty good with Santa Claus. He just stared at him. Maybe it was the beard. Anyways we came back a little later to get family pictures with Santa and we didn't get one he just cried and cried. He was past nap time and had had it. Poor Santa didn't know what to do.

Boston chasing the train

video

David parents found this train at Christmas and I had to put it on here. Boston was so funny. He tried to catch it and every time he would get close the train would be gone. It kept him and us entertained for a while.

Christmas Day

Christmas day was wonderful. Boston didn't wake up till 9am which was fine with us. He was so excited. I'm sure he had no idea what was going on but we tried to make him as excited as we could.

This is when we walked down to see the gifts. His face just lit up when he saw the gifts.

Boston loves to play with phones. So to attempt to save our real phones we gave him a play phone. He still plays with it but nothing beats mommy and daddy's phones.

He loves this little table of all sorts of fun things on it but I think his favorite is the music.

Grandma Allyson came over with lots of gifts. Boston loved them all. Thanks grandma!

Grandma and grandpa Rogers also came over with gifts. Boston was grateful for them also.

Thanks grandma for all the fun stuff.

Christmas Eve

We celebrated our Christmas Eve with my mom, my sister Kendra and her kids, my brother Trevor and his wife and daughter. We had a blast. The kids acted out the nativity and we had a birthday cake for Jesus. After that the kids get to open one gift and like most traditions we gave Boston pajamas. This was his first time opening a gift ever. He did pretty good.

So excited about his pajamas.

This is Kendra opening a gift from the the siblings. She was overwhelmed because she didn't think we where going to do gifts this year. Boy was she surprised. I hope she enjoyed the gift card.

This is my mom opening her gift. Most of the kids got together and got her jazz tickets. If you don't know my mom she lives for the jazz. She was so excited. Everyone is huddled by her because she was opening them in front of the computer so my sisters in St. George could watch her open them also. The joys of technology.

This is our house on Christmas Eve.

Fun in November

November was busy but fun. Matt (Davids brother) got married and it was a lot of preparation but it was beautiful. I love my new sister in law Sarah. Welcome to the family.

This was Bostons first snow storm and I didn't catch the right picture of him staring up at the sky. He was amazed at what was coming down.

This is him the next day in a big snow pile. He liked it at first but then I think he realized it was cold and he was stuck. By the time I took this picture his smile was gone.
This picture I had to put on here. This shows how strong my little boy really is. This is his cousin Bentley who is a lot bigger and taller then he is. He is pushing her around like she is a beauty queen as she sits on this toy Escalade. It makes me laugh how strong he really is.

Halloween

Okay so the Rogers had an early Halloween party because David and I were going to be in St. George for my nephews baptism. It was actually Mike and Kristy's idea. The only problem was none of us knew what we were going to be so we all just put what ever we had on. David had a meeting that night so he just put his mission tag on. (by the way this was on a Sunday) I just found some old pj's and clipped Bostons Binky to me. Now Boston his was planned. We borrowed my sister in laws Nieces costume. Thanks. If you cant tell he is a monkey which fits him well.
Now the reason Mike and Kristy put this together is because they had something to tell us. I didn't have any good pictures so I will just have to tell you. Their costumes where awesome. Mike was a bun maker and Kristy was an oven with a bun in it. "Bun in the oven." I am so excited I will have someone pregnant with me and you know I'm excited for them also.

Lots of posts coming your way.

It has been a long time since I have posted about Boston and how he is doing. So here they come. I'll try to get them in order for me because this is my little journal.

I found him getting on my stuff one day. He was having a ball. The next day I got locks. I will let him play every so often because its so fun to watch him.

Boston loves to watch movies with his daddy. This only lasts for so long but it is so cute. They are both so interested.
Ok so its late I'll continue another day.
