Sorry Im Lazy

So I have not posted for a long time and we have had a lot happen to us so I'm going to have lots of posts to come if I have enough time. I hope I put them in the right order.

First of all Davids brother Matt came home from his mission on Sept. 15th and that was fun to see him. He has 3 new nephews he has not seen and 2 on the way. That same week Davids other brother Sean moved to Arizona for work so it was very mixed emotions that week. We said hello to one and good bye to the other. So that week we decided to try to go boating for the last and first time this year so that Matt could have his first boat trip since his parents got the boat and 2nd so Sean could have one of his last for a while. It wasn't the warmest but it was still fun. David and I decided to take out two dogs to see how they would do. They were so good and so much fun.

We played on the beach for a while and then decided to get wet so a few decided to go skiing and wake boarding and stuff. We had about two people get up and then the boat stopped working so those that were on the boat had to paddle back to the beach to get us and we had to load up and paddle out to the dock which was a long ways away. However, we got lucky the patrol saw us and came to pull us. In the process of being pulled it started to rain and hail on us pretty hard. We made it back ok but boy was that an adventure.

It's a BOY!!!

Aug. 31st we had our ultra sound to find out the sex of our baby. Yes its a boy. No suprise there he is a Rogers. However, let me tell you it was a challenge to see if he was a boy I swear it took like 45 min for them to find out. He was being very stubborn and happend to be a sleep with his back facing my belly and his legs crossed. It took lots of pushing on my belly which did not feel good but he finally moved. Lucky for us she got the picture just in time because he wasn't there for to long before he turned right back with his back facing us. We did get this cute profile of his face.
We are so excited for our little boy and can't wait fot him to come but we have a ways to go. I hope it goes by fast.

Baby on the way

Guess what I am pregnant! We are so excited for this new journey in our lives and hope that we are as ready as we can be for it. Daddy to be just can't wait because he can't stop telling everyone. He decided to tell all the elders quorum before I really expected to but its okay. He said it just came out I didn't even know I was saying it till it was to late. It was fine I just thought it was funny because all these people came up to me smiling and I didn't know what for.
I am about 15 weeks and finally getting out of the sick stage. Thank goodness! People keep saying I'm already showing which I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but all I can say is I definitely feel bigger then I want. I know I know it worth it. Its all worth it in the end. Whats even more exciting for me is I am pregnant with my sister Makenzie; although she is due October 4th and I am due January 26th I still get to say we were pregnant at the same time and that is really what I wanted.
I am so excited and can't wait to find out if its a boy or a girl. We really are fine with either we just want a healthy baby but its still exciting to guess and hear what people think. So let us know what you think.

Graduation

I forgot to post that David finally graduated. Well, he finally walked because he graduated in December but he didn't get to walk until April. He didn't really want to walk but i told him it would be a good example for our kids to see a picture of their daddy graduating.

My how they grow

Here is a picture of my puppies at 4 1/2 months. They have gotten so big I can't carry them any more but no matter how big they get I will still love them. We are so glad we have them. In fact the day we really figures out how much we loved them was at taylorsville days. We being the smart people we think we are decided to take our dogs to the fireworks we figured if they got scared we would be strong enough to hold them. Well, David was strong enough but I was not. As soon as the fire works started both our dogs started to bark and freak out they even went to the bathroom on us. YUCK! So we decided to take them on a walk. Well I got up and took about two steps and Misty pulled so hard I let go and she ran out of sight. So of coarse I took off after her not really seeing where she went. Luckily there were lots of people that did see her at this time David had no idea where I had gone and I couldn't get a hold of him. I ran what felt like miles till nobody had seen her and by this time I finally got a hold of David he ran to where I was and took off towards our house. Mean while my neighbor called me to tell me she had ran home. I had been crying for a long while and I called David to tell him and he was almost home which he must have really been booking it because we weren't that close to home. When we both got home we talked and realized how much both our dogs meant to us and how sad we would have been had we lost either of them. Needless to say we spend as much time as we can with them and care for them dearely so we don't ever lose them.

The newest members of our family

On March 28th we picked up these two cute puppies in St. George. Their names are Max (the brown one) and Misty (the black). We love them so much! They are now 8 1/2 weeks old and are much bigger and much more outgoing. They love to run and pounce on each other and fight a ton.
Let me tell you the story in how we got them. We went to St. George to visit all of my family (not seeking a dog) and to see my new nephew Austin and just play. My dad and Makenzie new that I had fallen in love with a Border Collie Lab mix puppie but didn't get it because I found it on a sunday. So my father, the wonderful man that he is, decided we should go look at dogs. I figured it wouldn't hurt because when I did get a dog I would have a better idea of what I wanted. So we drove to a number of places then Makenzie told me her friend had some puppies that were Border Collie with 1/4 Springer Spanial that she was just giving away. So of we had to go see them. When we got there we fell in love, David with Max and I with Misty. We couldn't decide who to take home, so we told the owner we would be back. We went out to eat with the family and when we were headed back to get a dog we had decided on Max. As I got out to the fence Misty ran up to me first and that was it, we had to get two of them. We figured it would be nice to have a friend. So there is the story. We drove home not prepared to have a dog and we had two. I have to aslo add that David did not want any dogs for the longest time but he loves them so much. Its so fun to watch him with them.

Halloween

I know this is way to late but I was looking at old pictures and passed by these. This is David and I at Halloween. We are at my brother and his wife's party. We had a blast! This was the first year WE decided to dress up. I don't know if you can tell but Davids mask would bleed when he pumped it and it made many little kids afraid. The picture where he is by himself is him sitting out front scaring kids. They would grab candy and he would bleed and move. It was hilarious.
